POSITION SUMMARY
As the Operations Manager of a high-performance plastics extrusion manufacturing plant, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and directing all operations activities to achieve safe, efficient, and economical production with the highest standards of quality and volume requirements. You will work closely with the Production Manager and report to the President.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure quality and process procedures are followed at all levels in Extrusion, Annealing and Grinding operations.
- Participate in weekly Production Planning / Scheduling meetings with Production Manager and Sales.
- Assure production data is accurately registered in real-time using company-specific ERP software.
- Supervise tooling usage and raw material/WIP inventories through all manufacturing processes.
- Establish accurate production standards, monitor productivity performance regularly.
- Work with the Production, Maintenance, R&D, and Sales teams so that the teams are completely integrated into and always in support of Operational objectives.
You must have:
The ideal candidate should have proven operational effectiveness at a leadership level of a manufacturing plant, possess excellent people management skills and proven success in managing process improvement projects. Requirements include:
- A college-completed degree and 5+ years of Manufacturing Operations experience
- Organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively (oral and written) with co-workers at all levels.
- Comfortable with cloud-based ERP software.
